The spirit of philanthropy is thriving among alumni and friends of Mississippi State University. Every day, Mississippi State’s programs and people experience the impact of private support in nearly every facet of the university.

Today, no major university can achieve excellence without a combination of state and private funds. Mississippi State receives less than one-third of its total budget from state revenues, making private support crucial to our success. Many outright gifts received annually are making a difference for the university's students and programs on an almost daily basis. Other commitments, such as bequests, will continue to assist the university for decades.
