Imagine the Mississippi State University of the future.
The very best way we know of conveying why Mississippi State launched State of the Future: The Mississippi State Campaign is for us to reflect on some of the “Faces of the Future” shown to the immediate right. These sons and daughters are representative of prospective students in major academic disciplines who are inspiring us to seek private gifts for the advancement of Mississippi State - for today and for future generations.
The State of the Future campaign provides outstanding students with the opportunity to learn and research with teachers and researches who are holders of endowed chairs and professorships. The campaign also provides scholarships and fellowships, which enable MSU to compete for the best and brightest students and to maintain its competitive academic position. Still other areas of the campaign are providing funds for new and renovated facilities. Gifts for program enhancements and annual support are needed throughout the university over the life of the campaign.
In December 2008, State of the Future will draw to a close, leaving a ripple effect on the entire university. The reality of it becomes increasingly closer with each gift given in support of the university’s State of the Future capital campaign.
