Swift assumes new fundraising role

Kristi Swift

The Mississippi State University Foundation has named Kristi Swift as the new director of development for the College of Education and MSU Libraries. She began her role on Sept. 1, 2023.

Swift graduated from MSU in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. After graduating from MSU, Swift attended the University of Southern Mississippi to obtain her master’s degree in 2014. The Meridian native later graduated with her specialist degree from Delta State University in 2022. Her master’s and specialist degrees are both in educational leadership.

Prior to joining the MSU Foundation, Swift worked for the Starkville Oktibbeha School District. She spent 11 years in the classroom, teaching kindergarten, first and second grades, before transitioning into her most recent role as instructional coach for pre-k through second grade.

“Working in education for 17 years has filled me with the desire to make a positive impact on others. I am excited for the opportunity to continue to make a positive impact here at Mississippi State University,” Swift said.
